Located in Osceola, Arkansas, the plant provides 665 megawatts of electricity generated with state-of-the-art coal-burning technology. 


The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of plant facilities and equipment. The Maintenance Manager manages the implementation of the plant's Maintenance Program and identifies those items which need improvement or additional work. The Maintenance Manager works with the plant operating staff to assure plant facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and efficient operating condition at all times.


Oversee the activities of maintenance personnel in performing maintenance and repair activities.

Implement the plant's preventive and predictive maintenance program, including equipment failure records, and provide trend information to the Plant Manager.

Provide task lists and schedules for plant maintenance and contractor personnel for normal operating periods, planned outage periods, and forced outage situations.

Maintain the plant's Maintenance Manual and assure that vendor maintenance and repair manuals are properly filed and kept up-to-date.

Oversee the Plant Safety Program and maintain the Safety Manual, and ensure it is up to date and in compliance with local, state and federal requirements.

Sustain the morale and motivation of maintenance personnel and handle employee grievances as they arise.

Assist with the location, screening and hiring of maintenance personnel.

Complete other tasks as requested by the Plant Manager.


Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelors of Science in technical field with 10+ years of experience in fossil power plant maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and experience) with at least 5+ years in supervising technical, supervisory and administrative personnel required.

Candidates must possess a thorough understanding and direct experience in the development of intermediate/long term maintenance and outage plans.

Candidates must possess knowledge of contract principles and execution of contracts for maintenance goods and services.

An in-depth knowledge of rotating equipment, Electrical and Instrumental, Welding, Outage planning/execution and Predictive maintenance technologies/principles are considered essential skills.

Candidates must possess a solid background in financial/accounting principles including budget development, tracking and execution.

PMP certification and experience managing large scale multi-discipline maintenance projects at large PRB coal facilities is highly desirable.

Strong leadership and motivational skills required.
